New Generation Football Club Unveils Future Black Stars at Juvenile Football Festa

To commemorate Ghana’s 68th Independence Day, the New Generation Football Club organized a thrilling juvenile football fiesta in the Okaikoi South constituency. The event featured eight teams competing in under-10 and under-13 categories.

The football fiesta showcased the talents of young players, with New Generation and Crushers FC emerging as finalists in both categories. New Generation took home the top prize in the under-10 category, while Crushers FC won the under-13 title through a penalty shootout.

The event also served as a scouting platform for Premier League clubs, with many young players impressing with their skills. Organizers Coach Kanute and Robert Lamptey expressed hope that future events would be even bigger and better, encouraging other communities to emulate their initiative.

The New Generation Football Club’s efforts aim to provide alternatives for children who might otherwise engage in hazardous activities, such as going to beaches, which has resulted in fatalities in communities like Busanga Line in the Gonten Electoral Area.

The organizers took the opportunity to thank sponsors, including incoming Assemblyman Hon. Richard Kwame Dziwornu, and called for more support for future events. Ultimately, they urged the government to invest in colts football to revitalize Ghana’s local leagues and national teams.
