Empowering Futures: Prince Owusu Bonnah Scholarship Foundation Supports Needy Students

The Prince Owusu Bonnah Scholarship Foundation has come to the aid of three (3) needy but brilliant students to further their education at the tertiary level.

The scholarship scheme, which was launched in January, is keen on giving hope to students, especially from Obuasi who hither to did not have any hope of furthering their education to the highest level.

The foundation has resolved to pay the tuition fees of the beneficiaries who are relieved now as their quest to undertake various courses at the tertiary level is becoming a reality.

The beneficiary students are Takyi Gyan Blankson, who is set to pursue a Bsc Business Administration at the KNUST- Obuasi Campus, Desmond A. Kennedy is a student of the University of Cape Coast pursuing a Bsc.

Biochemistry and Emelia Owusu studying BA Economics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

According to the Founder of Prince Owusu Bonnah scholarship foundation Prince Owusu Bonnah, the scholarship scheme is align with their goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs), particularly goal 4 which talks about access to quality education.

He said, ” So far, we have successfully supported three students; two in knust and one in UCC. We have five(5) other students who are currently going through another competitive process to be considered for the scholarship next week. ”

He mentioned that their motivation again stems from their unwavering commitment to help needy hut brilliant students in the community to achieve their academic dreams.” We believe in the future and progress of our community and its future leaders.”

The founder congratulated all the students and urged them to prioritise their education as the POB foundation cushions them with financial support.

One of the beneficiaries Desmond A. Kennedy commended the POB scholarship foundation for their intervention, saying that it has come as a welcome relief to him since all hopes to further his education almost fizzled out .

” Now, my dream of becoming a pharmacist is well on course with this scholarship. I will leave no stone unturned. I will learn hard and ensure the investment made in me bear fruits, “he added.
