NPP’s Leaked Election Review Report: The reports going around on social media are fake – William Yamoah, secretary of the election review committee

William Yamoah, the Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Election Review Committee, has issued a strong clarification regarding the reports circulating on social media about the reasons behind the NPP’s loss in the 2024 general elections. According to Yamoah, the documents making the rounds are not the official report by Prof. Mike Quaye, the committee’s chairman, and should not be taken as an accurate representation of the party’s findings.
Speaking on Kessben Maakye with Frimpong Ziega, Yamoah emphasized that the election review process is still ongoing, and the committee has three months to conclude their work before releasing the official findings. He urged party members and the general public to disregard any unofficial reports being circulated online.
The NPP Election Review Committee, headed by Prof. Mike Quaye, was tasked with investigating the factors that contributed to the party’s loss in the 2024 elections. The committee’s goal is to critically assess the party’s campaign strategies, internal dynamics, and external factors that may have influenced the election outcome. As part of their process, they have been gathering feedback from various stakeholders within the party, including regional leaders, grassroots members, and electoral experts.
Yamoah stressed that the committee’s report will be thorough and comprehensive, taking into account all perspectives and factors that led to the NPP’s defeat. The review is expected to not only address the shortcomings of the 2024 campaign but also provide recommendations for strengthening the party in future elections.
