Preparation is key & Important. We must prepare our children to take over from us well – Osofo Kankam

Osofo Kankam, the host of Kessben FM’s popular dawn motivational show “Food for Thought,” has expressed that preparation is not just important—it is the key to success, both for individuals and for society as a whole. His message resonated deeply with listeners, urging them to invest in the growth, development, and empowerment of the next generation.
During Friday’s episode on Kessben FM, Osofo Kankam shared his perspective on how preparation is an essential ingredient for success in any endeavor. Whether in business, career, or personal life, the idea of being prepared is fundamental to achieving long-term goals. The renowned motivational speaker emphasized that many people fail to achieve their dreams simply because they don’t invest enough time and effort into preparation.
“Preparation is key,” he said passionately. “When you are prepared, you are equipped to handle challenges, seize opportunities, and excel in whatever you pursue. Without it, you are simply walking in darkness, hoping that things will work out, but that is not how success is achieved.”
Perhaps one of the most significant parts of Osofo Kankam’s message was his call for parents to invest in preparing their children for the future. He highlighted that, as the older generation, it is not only our responsibility to build our legacies but also to ensure that our children are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and skills necessary to take over from us and continue that legacy.
Osofo Kankam explained that preparation doesn’t only mean providing material wealth or a good education. It also involves instilling values, discipline, and emotional intelligence in children. Equipping them with the right mindset, work ethic, and moral compass is just as important as teaching them practical skills.
In his motivational talk, Osofo Kankam also touched on the importance of having a long-term vision for the future, both for oneself and for one’s children. The idea of preparation is not just about preparing for immediate needs, but also about thinking ahead to the long-term picture.
He stressed that it is important to plan not only for one’s own future but also to consider the generations that will follow. As a society, we must begin to think about what we are leaving behind for the next generation—not just in terms of wealth, but in terms of values, opportunities, and the ability to handle challenges that will arise in an ever-changing world.
In addition to practical preparation, Osofo Kankam called for the impartation of wisdom and knowledge. The host emphasized that wisdom is just as critical as financial or educational resources. Parents, he said, should not only seek to provide their children with formal education but should also guide them in making wise decisions and preparing for the inevitable ups and downs of life.
