The NPP only wanted to buy power with money and win the 2024 elections but Ghanaians took their money and voted against them – Oboy Siki on why NPP disgracefully lost the 2024 elections

Popular Ghanaian actor Oboy Siki has shared his views on the 2024 presidential elections, claiming that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) attempted to buy the election with money. According to the actor, the NPP’s use of financial resources to influence voters ultimately failed, as Ghanaians rejected the approach and voted for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) instead.

Oboy Siki, who has never shied away from making controversial remarks, made these claims during an interview with Kessben TV. The actor argued that while the NPP invested significant financial resources into their campaign, they underestimated the intelligence of the electorate and the deep political sentiments of the Ghanaian people. According to him, Ghanaians are not easily swayed by money and were determined to vote against the NPP’s tactics, leading to a victory for the NDC.

“They thought they could buy power with money. The NPP thought that by spending huge sums, they could manipulate the voters and secure a win in the 2024 elections,” Oboy Siki said. “But what happened was that the people of Ghana saw through this and made their decision. They took their money but voted for the NDC because they believed in the party’s values, leadership, and vision for the country.”

The actor further emphasized that the decision of the voters was not solely based on financial matters, but rather on a deeper desire for change. He pointed out that many Ghanaians were dissatisfied with the current state of affairs under the NPP and were looking for new leadership to tackle the country’s challenges.
