We are not returning to football until all our requests regarding the new security measures are granted” – Kotoko IMC Chairman, Nana Apinkrah tells GFA

Nana Apinkra, the chairman of Asante Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), has warned the Ghana Football Association (GFA) that the team will not play football again until their demands are met.

Apinkra emphasized the necessity for adjustments before the team returns to the field during a meeting between Kotoko and the GFA in Kumasi, the first after the terrible murder of a fan, Nana Pooley.

Hearts of Oak and Kotoko have presented the GFA with a list of demands, which include equal TV rights, improved security, automatic representation on the GFA Executive Council, and the creation of an independent league organization.

“As for the GFA, we already know you take us for granted, but from now on, whether you like it or not, you will respect us. Kotoko and Hearts cannot be ignored. All we are asking for are better security measures,”

“Even today, if you respond to our proposals, we will play. But until then, count us out because we cannot sit back and watch another life lost,” He said.
