“May God comfort you” – Dr Kwame Kyei, ex-Kotoko Chairman calls on the family of late Pooley and donate to them

Dr. Kwame Kyei, the former Chairman of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club, recently paid a visit to the grieving family of the late Pooley, who tragically lost his life in a violent incident. The visit was an emotional and solemn occasion, as Dr. Kyei offered his condolences to the family, who are still grappling with the devastating loss.

Pooley, a staunch supporter of Asante Kotoko, met an untimely and tragic death during a match between Kotoko and Nsotreman FC in Nsoatre. He was stabbed to death in what has been described as a senseless act of violence that shocked the entire football community. Pooley’s death has not only left a void within the Kotoko fanbase but has also caused a deep sense of loss for his loved ones, who are now left to mourn his untimely departure.

During his visit, Dr. Kwame Kyei expressed his deep sorrow for the untimely death of Pooley and extended heartfelt prayers for God’s comfort to the bereaved family. “May God comfort you during this difficult time,” Dr. Kyei said, as he spoke with the family, offering words of solace and encouragement. He also assured them that they were not alone in their grief, with the entire Kotoko family sharing in their pain.

In addition to his condolences, Dr. Kyei made a generous donation to the family, hoping to alleviate some of the financial burdens they may face in the wake of this tragedy. Although words cannot replace the loss of a loved one, Dr. Kyei’s gesture provided the family with a measure of comfort and support as they navigate their sorrow.

The Asante Kotoko Football Club and its supporters have come together to mourn the loss of a dedicated fan, and many have expressed their solidarity with the family during this difficult time.

The visit by Dr. Kyei was a reminder that football is not just about the game itself, but about the people who support it, the communities it brings together, and the bonds it forms. It is moments like these that remind us of the strength of unity and the importance of standing by one another in times of crisis.
