Dr. John Kingsley Krugu Bids Farewell as EPA Boss, Welcomes Successor
In a heartfelt farewell message, Dr. John Kingsley Krugu, the outgoing Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Ghana, reflected on his tenure, expressing gratitude and contentment with the agency’s remarkable contributions to environmental protection in Ghana.
During his time at the helm, Dr. Krugu oversaw the transformation of the EPA from an agency to an authority, equipped with broader oversight and more robust powers to safeguard the environment and combat climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss.
Dr. Krugu thanked President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo for the opportunity to serve Ghana, describing it as a significant honor. He also expressed his appreciation to the 6th Governing Board, staff, and management members of the EPA for their support and well-wishes during his tenure.
As he handed over the reins to his successor, Professor Nana Ama Browne Klutse, Dr. Krugu congratulated her and wished her great success in implementing the new law to protect the environment.
