First Sky Group have supported the kidney center of Korle Bu with over GHC 36m – Executive Chairman
The First Sky Group as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on its free dialysis and kidney transplant program has spent a whopping sum of over thirty six million Ghana cedis at the kidney center of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
The Group have further sponsored kidney transplant surgery for 16 patients with chronic end stage kidney disease adding that by the end of January 2025, four new patients will undergo kidney transplant surgery under the cost of the company.
The Executive Chairman of the First Sky Group Mr Eric Seddy Kutortse made this known at the 22nd annual thanksgiving service under the theme, ” Proclaiming The Unfailing Love of God, ” from Romans 8: 37 in Accra.
The annual events is celebrated to appreciate God’s demonstration of his unparalleled l love towards the Group success in its 22 years of operation inspite of global trade and economic challenges.
According to him, the Group operations throughout the year is driven by the faith and trust in the Lord that management and staff have allowed to nurture the company leading to the creation of more jobs with workforce of over 5, 000 employees at various offices across the country.
Touching on the Group Solar PV project at Yendi in the Northern region, he said the construction of the sites on about 140 acres of land filled with solar panels to harvest 50 megawatts or renewable power in Yapei and Salaga to support national grid .
The Executive Chairman said the project was a collaboration between the Group and the Bui Power Authority and is about sixty-five percent (65%) complete and will be finally completed by the end of the second quarter of 2025, adding that another two hundred (200) megawatts of renewable power will be constructed within the next 10 years to serve the Northern Region.
The Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah who represented the President, Mr. John Dramani Mahama commended the Group for their immense contribution towards the growth of the country’s economy particularly the creation of jobs for the youth.
He said government is prepared to support and partner entrepreneurs who are committed to open and create jobs for Ghanaians across the country.
For his part, the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, urged institutions to inculcate Godly values to help drive their companies to successful heights and urged others to emulate First Sky Group.
