Election Has Consequences Movement Congratulates Speaker Bagbin and NDC MPs-Elect
The Election Has Consequences Movement (EHCM) has congratulated the Rt. Honorable Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, on his re-nomination as Speaker of the 9th Parliament of Ghana. This endorsement comes after President-Elect John Dramani Mahama gave his blessings, as conveyed in a letter from his Transition team’s Spokesperson.
According to Erickson Ashiara, Press Secretary of EHCM, Bagbin’s re-nomination is a testament to his experience, respect for democratic principles, and commitment to governance reform in Ghana. “We believe in his knowledgeability in this field, judging from his splendid track record,” Ashiara stated.
EHCM also extended congratulations to the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Members of Parliament-Elect for their hard-won victory in the December 7th elections. “You actually put up your best, and stood for the best,” Ashiara commended. “This victory puts a great responsibility on your shoulders, and it is our prayer that you would live up to the expectations of the Ghanaian.”
The EHCM Press Secretary emphasized that the movement’s prayers are with the NDC MPs, urging them to move forward with confidence, knowing they have the backing of Ghana and the NDC. “Congratulations once again,” Ashiara concluded.
