Whistleblowers to report corrupt activities without showing their identity through toll-free hotlines – Ablakwa
The creation of toll-free hotlines, emails, and internet platforms to enable anonymous reporting of corruption has been announced by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team.
The goal is to establish a transparent and centralized system that allows the collection of evidence on corruption without worrying about being discovered.
“By tomorrow morning, we will publish toll-free hotlines and set up online platforms, including emails and websites, for people to submit information anonymously,”
“They have no brooms to fly at night. It’s not meant to witch-hunt people,” Mahama stated, adding that all team members are serving pro bono, with no associated expenditure or budget.
The ORAL team, which held its first meeting on Wednesday have resolved to operate without financial incentives, “This is a sacrificial effort for God and country,” Mr Ablakwa said in an interview with Joy FM.
