Hon. Ato Forson Played a Strategic Role in NDC’s Impressive Performance in the Ashanti Region-Mammudu Kabore
A member of the Regional Communication Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mammudu Kabore speaking on the Kessben Adwenkyer3 show praised Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson for his strategic contributions to the party’s success in the 2024 elections.
He noted that Hon. Ato Forson made financial and material contributions to some constituencies in the region, which eventually resulted in the NDC’s overall performance in the region.
Furthermore, he mentioned that although Hon. Ato Forson does not come from this region, he was willing to provide for the needs of these constituencies even though there were sitting NPP MPs.
He cited that Ato Forson, during a visit to Ahafo Ano North, specifically Tepa, contributed GHC 500,000 to a project undertaken by the community itself.
He added that even though their party is in opposition, Hon. Ato Forson has demonstrated unmatched dedication. For this reason, the NDC, for the first time, won the Obuasi East, Adansi Asokwa, Aforfrom, and Ahafo Ano South East constituencies.
Mr. Kabore criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not waging an effective campaign. He stated that while Sammy Gyamfi and the NDC were campaigning in every community, the NPP was only dancing on campaign platforms.
Additionally, Mr. Kabore pleaded with the president-elect, John Dramani Mahama, to appoint Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson as the next Finance Minister to continue the good works he has been doing.
He said that the NPP based their campaign solely on the Free SHS policy, neglecting other challenging economic issues.
He concluded that harsh economic decisions by the NPP government crippled most businesses in the region, causing prominent businessmen to lose their livelihoods through high taxes, increased production costs, and exchange rate depreciation.
