The NPP Government Has Invested More Than 10 Billion In TVET – Engineer Peter Antwi Bosiako
The Deputy Director for Technical and Vocational Educational Training (TVET), Engineer Peter Antwi Bosiako says the NPP Government led by Akuffo Addo has invested more than 10 billion in the TVET service.
Speaking on Election Avenue on Kessben TV, he praised the NPP government for their investment and commitment to the TVET project.
He further explained that the TVET enables graduates to create employment opportunities for themselves and others around them.
With some technical skills, graduates can get remote jobs outside Ghana, and at the same time, it creates opportunities for others. That is why the NPP government is investing more in TVET services.
He further explained that before 2017, there were about Nine ministries running some form of TVET, among which are the Ministry of Employment NVI, the Social Welfare Community Development Training Center, and the Aviation Center for the Ministry of Transport.
He said technical education is costly, that is why all the governments tried to tackle just some aspect of it. However, the NPP Government is investing so much because the aim is to develop and transform Ghana.
Engineer Peter Antwi further insisted that; “You cannot develop as a country if you neglect an investment in Technical and Vocational education”.
He said most of the European countries with the low unemployment rate have most of their students go through TVET, a country like China has more than 71% of their students to go through TVET.
Because almost everything around us is done by technical people. And so, when a country’s leaders do not invest in TVET, they do not want to see the development of their country.
Engineer Peter Antwi said that the NPP government wants to transform the educational system, and Ghana as a whole, one of the best developmental projects to transform Ghana is the TVET services.
Such projects provide solutions to the country, that is what the NPP government aims to do.
He also mentions the current minister of education is one of the best appointments the government has made because he is versatile and has the potential to help achieve these goals.
Should the NPP continue to govern for the next few years, Ghanaians will see a massive transformation. That is why Ghanaians need to vote for the NPP government because the NPP government seeks to provide solutions to the problems in Ghana.
