Baffuor Asaase Gyimah Backs Bawumia, Questions Mahama’s Comeback
Mr. Baffour Asaase Gyimah, a member of the Ashanti Regional Communications Team and director of NSS Kumasi Metro, has endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, citing his humility, vision, and respect for humanity, while dismissing John Mahama’s contributions in the political arena.
According to him, Ghanaians should prioritize voting for a leader with vision rather than one who insults opponents on the campaign platform. He emphasized the need for leadership that promotes unity and avoids divisive behavior.
Asaase Gyima criticized former President John Mahama for his recent remarks, claiming they could cause tension in the country. According to him, politics should focus on ideas and solutions, not insults.
He stressed the medical drone delivery service was introduced during Dr. Bawumia’s tenure, noting that even advanced countries like the UK are now piloting similar services, which have been operational in Ghana for the past six years.
Asaase Gyimah further mentioned that during the run-up to the American elections, Kamala Harris referenced Ghana’s medical drone delivery system during her visit to Michigan.
“The system, which delivers essential medical supplies such as blood and drugs, has completed over eighteen million deliveries in the last six years.“ He remarked.
He cautioned Ghanaians to reject any leader whose actions and inactions do not promote peace and tolerance. He cited Mr. Mahama’s recent utterances, claiming they could plunge the country into chaos. In contrast, he described Dr. Bawumia as a peace-loving leader who respects diversity.
“Ghanaians are looking for improvements in their well-being, access to quality healthcare, good road networks, affordable education, and effective social intervention policies to ease their burdens.” He stressed
He added that Dr. Bawumia has promised that, starting next year, tertiary students can access student loans using only their Ghana Card, removing the need for guarantors.
He concluded that the difference between John Mahama and Dr. Bawumia is clear, framing the December 7 election as a battle between light and darkness.
