For the Sake of the Future, Vote for NPP – CEO of COCOBOD, Mr. Joseph Boahen Aidoo
The CEO of COCOBOD, Mr. Joseph Boahen Aidoo, has urged Ghanaians and farmers to vote for the NPP for the sake of their future.
Mr. Boahen speaking on the Adwenekyere show on Kessben TV emphasized that for the sake of the youth, the children, and the great-grandchildren, everyone should vote for Bawumia.
According to him, the NPP has the best vision, focusing not only on the present but also on the future.
However, Mr. Boahen noted that the NPP has made significant changes and put things in place that are suitable for the future.
He mentioned the introduction of digitalization into the cocoa system, initiated by Bawumia and the NPP government.
Moreover, he added that the cocoa market has been revived, bringing great hope and a promising future for the industry and the farmers. All these improvements, he said, are credited to the NPP government.
Furthermore, Mr. Boahen highlighted that COCOBOD now has real data about all farmers, a first in the farming history of Ghana.
This data will help with the free scholarship to universities for the wards of cocoa farmers. He confidently stated that if the farmers vote for Bawumia, the scholarship will be implemented.
In the same way, Mr. Boahen explained that based on the digital data, unique numbers generated for the farmers will be used to identify all the wards of the cocoa farmers, ensuring the distribution of the scholarships without any major process.
Still in the discussion, he claimed that the children born during the free maternity era under Kuffour are the same children who have benefited from the free SHS, and these same children of the cocoa farmers will benefit from the free SHS. This, he said, is the future the NPP is talking about.
He also mentioned that this is possible because the interest generated from the purchasing of cocoa can be used to implement this policy and put it in place for the free scholarship for the wards of cocoa farmers as promised by Bawumia.
In addition, he stated that unless the people do not vote for Bawumia, the cocoa scholarship for university will be implemented.
He confidently declared that if they vote for him, this scholarship will be realized, and he does not think the cocoa farmers will make a mistake and not vote for Bawumia.
In his final thoughts, Mr. Boahen said the NPP tenure has implemented proper strategies for cocoa farming, including the distribution of fertilizers, pruning, and hand pollination, which have been changed for a better future.
