NPP Organizer Nana Boakye launches an intensive campaign to highlight NPP’s achievements
Nana Boakye, the National Organizer for the New Patriotic Party stated the NPP has launched an intensive campaign to highlight its achievements and strengthen public trust in its leadership. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s presidential candidate, has personally visited over 250 constituencies, while other party leaders have distributed themselves across the country to ensure the seamless delivery of their message.
“We want Ghanaians to see what the NPP has accomplished and why they should trust us,” Nana Boateng stated during an interview on the Kessben Maakye show with Kwabena Owusu Dankwa. “Dr. Bawumia has proven to be an effective campaigner, and the results will show.”
He expressed confidence in the party’s chances in the upcoming December 7 election, predicting a clear majority in Parliament. “The NPP will win no fewer than 150 parliamentary seats. He stated, “Bawumia will secure a first-round victory with one touch”.
He added, “We are not resorting to any underhanded tactics or uncultured methods to win. Our superior track record will speak for itself.” The NPP emphasized its success in education through the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) program.
“This policy has provided access to education for 5.7 million students. Before Free SHS, parents had to pay between GHS 1,500 and GHS 1,800 for tuition, feeding, books, and other school-related expenses. Today, these costs have been eliminated, making education accessible to all. Boateng stated, “This is good governance”.
He explained, in the health sector, “When we assumed office, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) owed GHS 900 million. We cleared that debt and expanded the scheme to cover costly treatments such as dialysis for kidney conditions”.
The party also highlighted its strides in healthcare infrastructure. “We’ve built 114 hospitals, with 70-80% nearing completion, and an additional 40 are fully operational. Furthermore, we have distributed 300 ambulances across districts to improve emergency healthcare services.”
He mentioned that, “Under the Fourth Republic, no government has constructed more roads than this administration. Our investments in infrastructure are unmatched”.
Finally, he shared a moving story of a student from Adaeso who benefited from the Free SHS policy. “This student, who once had nothing, achieved 8As, earned a scholarship to study abroad, and is now excelling at the top of his class. Such stories are proof of the policy’s impact”.
With these achievements, the NPP is optimistic that its record in governance will resonate with Ghanaians as they head to the polls in December.
