Joseph Amoah Confidence Alan’s Movement for Change Party Can Win Upcoming Election With Distinctive Campaign Strategy

A senior member of the Movement for Change party, Mr. Joseph Amoah, has outlined the distinctive campaign strategy and vision of the party emphasizing a grassroots approach that prioritizes engaging rural communities.

He revealed that during Hon. Alan Kyeremanteng’s recent visit to the Ashanti Region, the party reached over 300 rural communities. These interactions unveiled critical challenges, including poor roads, the galamsey menace, and the general living conditions of the people.

Despite polls favoring other political parties, Mr. Amoah expressed confidence in the Movement for Change’s focus and strategy, dismissing poll predictions as unreliable. He likened the situation to recent U.S. elections, where resource-rich campaigns still fell short of predicted outcomes.

When asked by host Kwabena Owusu Dankwah (KOD) about their flagship policy, Mr. Amoah emphasized the economy as the cornerstone of their campaign. He attributed current hardships to cedi depreciation, financial mismanagement, and excessive borrowing by the current government.

He criticized the Free SHS program for suffering from budget credibility issues, citing reduced budget commitments as a factor compromising quality. According to Mr. Amoah, the solution lies in reviving the economy to generate sufficient revenue to sustain such policies.

He outlined the Movement’s Great Transformational Plan (GTP), which aims to build a resilient economy by reducing government expenditure to maintain a deficit below 5%. The plan proposes reducing the number of government appointees and encouraging private sector investments in areas such as roads and hospitals to alleviate the financial burden on the state.

A key component of Alan Kyeremanteng’s vision is to establish Ghana as the industrial hub of West Africa by setting up three factories in every district. Additionally, the northern regions will be developed as the country’s food basket, supplying raw materials for the industries.

Mr. Amoah added that the party’s commitment to economic transformation, stressing the importance of reducing government dependence on loans and fostering self-reliance through sustainable development initiatives.
