John Mahama Will Introduce Import Substitution Methods to Save Ghanaians-Mr. Frank Otoo

Mr. Frank Otoo, a lecturer at Spiritan University College and an active member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has discussed the policies the NDC will implement if they come to power on the Adwenkyer3 show, Kessben. He stated that John Mahama would introduce import substitution methods to save Ghanaians.

Mr. Otoo emphasized, “We will abolish imported goods such as poultry and frozen chicken when we come to power.” He claimed that Ghana can produce all these products domestically, which will boost the economy by increasing productivity.

“John Dramani Mahama has said, When he takes over the presidential seat, he will not use over $300 million to import poultry and over $200 million to import frozen chicken.” He said,

He mentioned that such significant amounts could be invested in the agricultural sector to boost farm produce and even export some.

Mr. Otoo added, “The former president of Ghana, John Mahama, will support farmers with mechanized farming, where they will use machinery and technology to cultivate, harvest, and manage crops and livestock.”

He further explained that John Mahama will supply farmers with fertilizers and support them with initial capital and other resources that aid in good farming practices.

With this idea, farmers can produce large quantities of food and provide Ghanaians with abundant food, which will decrease the cost of food in the country.

Mr. Otoo concluded by urging all Ghanaians to vote for the former president, John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming elections on December 7, 2024.

He believes this policy is one of the best, and he calls on all Ghanaians to support it for the betterment of the nation.
