All the Policies NPP Implemented Resulted in Job Creation – Jimmy Boakye Ansah
NPP’s communication team member Mr.Jimmy Boakye Ansah has addressed the NPP’s plans to increase job opportunities while responding to his opponent, Mr. Francis Addo, who claimed that the NDC would utilize a 24-hour economy to tackle unemployment in Ghana. He stated, “The NDC has not been specific about what they can do for the youth, and their policies do not clearly outline their intentions for the nation.”
Speaking on Kessben Maakye, he emphasized, “All the initiatives introduced by the NPP resulted in job creation.” He highlighted the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, implemented by the NPP, which significantly boosted employment for both teaching and non-teaching staff. He noted that the free SHS policy alone created over 60000 jobs for the youth.
Additionally, the drone delivery system for the health sector has provided employment opportunities for unemployed youth, creating jobs for 200 individuals across six centers.
Moreover, the distribution of 307 ambulances for emergency medical technicians has also facilitated job creation, employing six medical technicians along with drivers. This initiative contributed to an increase in job opportunities for the youth.
The establishment of vehicle assembly plants in Ghana aims to enhance local industries. Partnerships between Kantanka and other automobile manufacturers, such as Nissan and Toyota, have enabled the production of vehicles for the National Identification Authority (NIA) and other government entities.
Lastly, Mr. Jimmy mentioned the Bawumia administration’s initiative of creating 1 million digital jobs for the youth. He explained that under this policy, young people can leverage social media to create their own employment opportunities without the need for a physical structure.
In conclusion, the NPP, under the Bawumia administration, is committed to ensuring ample job creation for the youth.
