Buduburam Blast: 554 houses, shops, and nine cars destroyed – NADMO confirms
Nine vehicles, 554 homes, and stores were damaged in the disaster that struck Gomoa Buduburam in the Central area last week.
A contractor on the Kasoa-Winneba highway blasted a rock in the middle of the road, causing the sad occurrence that resulted in three immediate deaths and 47 injuries.
Central Regional Minister Justina Marigold Assan formed a five-member team to create a list of the destroyed goods and people impacted by the explosion, which caused the contractor to temporarily suspend activities after the tragedy.
The contractor has resumed work under police protection to avoid any potential retaliation, according to Kessben reporter Mireku Nyampong’s visit to the location on Wednesday, October 23.
