‘The fans don’t need this enmity’ – Shatta Wale responds to Stonebwoy’s birthday wish

Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has sharply replied to a birthday wish from his colleague and long-standing rival, Stonebwoy.

Shatta turned 40 years on October 17 and received well wishes from his fans and colleagues in the industry.

Despite their differences, Stonebwoy surprised Shatta Wale with a gesture of goodwill on X (formerly Twitter) by wishing Shatta Wale a happy 40th birthday, writing, “No matter the differences. I wish you long life, brother! Big 40… (Blackstar age).”

In response, Shatta disagreed with the use of the word “differences” by Stonebwoy and noted that the unhealthy competition is not good for their fans.

Shatta’s response sparked reaction from fans of both musicians.
