Kurt Okraku fires Black Stars players: “The Niger team you drew with, 5 of them can’t start at Dreams FC”

The president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has strong views about certain players on Niger’s team and believes they are not good enough to play for his club.

This claim is made in the wake of the Black Stars’ dismal loss to Angola and their 1-1 draw with Niger in their second 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier encounter last month.

During a team meeting on October 8, Okraku expressed his dissatisfaction, saying that Niger’s performance was not worthy of the points they earned against Ghana.

“Four or five of the players in that [Niger] squad cannot play in my club. That is the truth. But Ghana played 1-1 against Niger,” he stated, emphasizing the need for greater intensity and commitment from his players.

What did we see? We saw a Black Stars team without energy, without passion, and without the desire to play. It’s not possible like this” He said.

The Black Stars will take on Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 10 and then travel to Libya for the second leg on October 15 as they get ready for their next games.
