Kwesi Appiah temporarily resigns as GFA ExCo member ahead of Black Stars AFCON qualifier vs Sudan
James Kwesi Appiah, a member of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Executive Council, has announced his temporary resignation.
Prior to Ghana’s match against Sudan on Monday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) formally requested that the former Ghanaian coach step down from one of his positions.
In addition to serving as the head coach of the Sudanese men’s national team, Appiah is a member of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Executive Council.
Appiah won an election on Asante Kotoko’s ticket in the Ghana FA Executive Council.
In the meanwhile, Ghana will play host to Sudan on October 10 at Accra Sports Stadium. On October 14, the team will travel to Benina, Libya, for the second leg.
