We have the advantage in Obuasi, I won’t celebrate if I score vs Kotoko my former club – Young Apostles player, Akwasi Nti

Former Asante Kotoko player Akwasi Nti has reiterated that his current team, Young Apostles playing vs Kotoko at the Obuasu Len Clay’s stadium is an advantage to them as guests.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko had to adopt the Obuasi Stadium as its home venue after the closure of the Baba Yara stadium following CAF’s withdrawal of approval of the standard stadium.

Kotoko will play their first home game vs the newly promoted side on Sunday and Akwasi Nti who played for Kotoko between 2016 and 2019 reckons they as guests have the advantage.

“Playing at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium ( neutral grounds) is to our advantage. If I score against Kotoko my former club, I won’t celebrate” – Young Apostles player, Akwasi Nti said on Kessben FM.

Asante Kotoko on matchday 1 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League travelled to Karela to beat them 1-0.

Kotoko were supposed to play Nsoatreman FC in the matchday 2 of the league but the game had to be postponed due to Nsostreman FC’s CAF Confederation Cup game vs CS Constantine during the weekend.
