The Chief Executive Officer and founder of Bouncers with Degree, Augustine Addo, popularly known as Lamar has shared how he started his security services company.
Speaking in an interview with Giovani Caleb on Showbiz 360 on Saturday, Lamar revealed that his business begun back in 2015 during his days at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).
Lamar narrated that together with a friend, Solomon, they were the only two heavily built men on campus at the time and were contacted to guard artistes and other dignitaries who attended events in the school.
He said he was working a part time job as a bouncer while working at a bank and schooling as well.
However, Lamar disclosed that he received a message one day from a client who requested for five bouncers while he was working full time at a bank.
After negotiating the deal, the client insisted he would pay and demanded for five clients.
Lamar said he was convinced that he would not make such huge money working at a bank and decided to resign from his job at the bank and fully establish his ‘Bouncers with Degree’ business.
He said his mum was not enthused about his decision but “today she is more than proud.”
Lamar noted that he’s been working with his six bouncers for two years now.
Bouncer with Degree is an organization that provides a range of security services to individuals, businesses, or other entities.
Their services include; Guard services, alarm and surveillance, executive protection and event security.
