Port Duties Would Be Cheaper Under Dr Bawumia Presidency – Kwabena Frimpong Appeals To Diaspora Ghanaians

The Deputy Director of Protocol for Ghana’s ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Frimpong has assured diaspora Ghanaians that port duties will decrease significantly under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s government.

Speaking at the 10th anniversary celebration of the NPP’s Luton Chapter in the UK, Mr. Frimpong emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to introducing a flat tax rate for all 40-foot containers entering Ghana’s ports and lower or equivalent import duties compared to Togo’s port, effective 2025.

This move aims to boost economic competitivenes,Create jobs and ease the tax burden on importers and diaspora Ghanaians using Ghana’s ports.

Mr. Frimpong urged diaspora Ghanaians to champion the NPP manifesto and rally support for Dr. Bawumia, citing his track record of delivering on his promises, including: Drone essentials medical delivery services,ECG app, Ghana Card, Paperless port,1 Constituency 1 Ambulance project, DRIP project,mobile money Interoperability, Electronic buses, et al.

The event, themed “Energizing Diaspora Community for Election 2024,” featured cultural performances, awards, and fundraising to support Dr. Bawumia’s presidential campaign.

Mr. Frimpong encouraged Ghanaians in the diaspora to reach out to their relatives in Ghana and vote overwhelmingly for Dr. Bawumia in the 2024 elections, promising a prosperous future for all Ghanaians under Dr Bawumia presidency.
