Kasoa: Man arrested after attempt to steal flag hoister pole to sell as ‘alumi”

In an attempt to steal a flag hoister pole from the Kasoa Immigration Office, 35-year-old Yaw Francis was taken into custody by the Kasoa Police.

According to a report filed by Mireku Nyanpong on Kessben FM’s Breaking News with Nyakoh Abronomah, the suspect entered the Immigration Office in the middle of the night with the intention of robbing it when the responsible officers were there performing their midnight responsibilities.

They observed the suspect carrying and removing the flag hoist pole. The officers swiftly emerged and pursued him in order to apprehend him.

Investigations conducted by ACI Fati Yarah, the Ghana Immigration Service’s Kasoa Central Sector Commander, multiple goods were taken from the office by unidentified individuals. Businesses in the area have also voiced concerns about their air conditioning systems and other goods being taken at night.

The suspect is helping with investigations while being held at the Kasoa Under Bridge Police Station.
