Kasoa Fire Outbreak: A church, Beer bar, and shops burnt to ashes

At Kasoa Ghana Flag Junction in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region, a fire has destroyed approximately ten stores, a fire tender, and a church structure, destroying items valued at millions of cedis.

According to a report filed by Kessben FM’s Mireku Nyanpong, Around six o’clock at night, a welder working in a carpentry business sparked a fire. The meter exploded due to an electrical fault that the welder is thought to have caused by connecting direct electricity from the meter.

A bar, a carpentry shop that deals in clothing and furnishings, a church, an electrical appliance store, and a provision store were all destroyed by the fire.

Overheating caused a Weija fire tender, who had arrived to put out the fire, to catch fire at the scene.

Two additional firefighters from Dansoman and Kasoa assisted in slashing the flames.
