Kate Gyamfua: Ghanaian Women Will Lead Bawumia’s Victory

The National Women’s Organizer of the NPP, Kate Gyamfua, has indicated that her tour around the country convinces her that women in Ghana are ready to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party.

According to Ms. Gyamfua, her engagement with various women’s groups across the country gives her hope that Ghanaian women appreciate the various women-centric programs initiated by the NPP. Some of these programs, she outlined, include Free SHS, Free Maternal Care, the School Feeding Programme, LEAP, and the recent Kayaye Empowerment Project (KEP).

Speaking to the media, Ms. Gyamfua indicated that not only are Ghanaian women ready to support Dr. Bawumia, but they are also ready to vote massively for NPP parliamentary candidates across the country.

Ms. Gyamfua is currently in the Bono East Region as part of a nationwide campaign tour by the NPP Women’s Wing. On Wednesday, she interacted with pastors’ wives and queen mothers in the Techiman South constituency and also engaged with other women’s groups in the region.

Earlier on Tuesday, she had a fruitful engagement with the queen mothers of the Ahafo Region at the Ahafo Kenyasi No. 2 Pentecost Church, where she expressed her belief that queen mothers play key roles in the progress of the country. She explained to them the need to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming general election, expressing the NPP’s commitment to securing the majority of the women’s vote for Dr. Bawumia and the party’s parliamentary candidates across the country.

“As I engage with various women’s groups across the country, their enthusiasm and zeal give me confidence in the Ghanaian woman and emphasize the need for the government to continue working in the interest of women’s development,” she stated.
