Ghanaian gospel artiste, Empress Gifty Adorye recently shared some controversial advice for young men regarding their dating choices.
She suggested that men who have never been married or had children should avoid dating single mothers with more than two children.
According to Empress Gifty, a man who is inexperienced in both marriage and parenting may find it overwhelming to take on the responsibility of raising multiple children who are not biologically his.
She explained that the financial and emotional burden could be too much for a single man to handle, potentially leading to stress and conflict within the relationship.
Additionally, she warned that the biological father of the children might pose a threat or create complications, further straining the relationship.
Instead, Empress Gifty advised single men to seek out single women who have no children or, at the very least, single mothers with only one child. She believes this approach would be more manageable and less stressful for a man new to parenting.
While some people appreciated her practical advice on the challenges of dating single mothers with multiple children, others criticized her for what they thought as a narrow and insensitive viewpoint.
They argued that love should transcend such considerations and that her advice unfairly stigmatizes single mothers.
