Netizens descend on Hawa Koomson for hawking watermelon on the streets to campaign
Some Ghanaian social media users have heavily descended on the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development and Member of Parliament(MP) for Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson over her strategy to campaign to be retained as a lawmaker for the area.
A video of the Member of parliament carrying watermelon on the streets alongside other hawkers to campaign in her constituency has triggered some wild reactions online.
In the said video, the Minister was seen carrying a tray of sliced watermelons while other market women followed her cheering and praising her.
Some Ghanaians have taken to the comment section to express disgust and disappointment over the strategies some leaders use to campaign during election season.
