I’ll build an airport in the Upper East Region – Bawumia
The governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Mahamudu Bawumia, has declared that if he wins the forthcoming general elections, he will build the Cape Coast Airport.
Speaking at the NPP’s manifesto launch held in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, Dr. Bawumia revealed that a $2 billion investment has been secured from Korean investors to initiate the development of this airport.
“The Cape Coast Airport has been a priority for us, and with the funding in place from the Korean facility, we are ready to break ground and begin construction.
“We want to ensure that every region of Ghana has access to world-class infrastructure. The Upper East Airport will play a pivotal role in boosting trade, tourism, and investment in the northern sector of the country,” he stressed.
