Ghana National Alliance has issued a clarion call to all independent candidates to unite and form a union government, ahead of the upcoming elections. This unprecedented move aims to challenge the status quo and bring about transformative change to Ghana’s governance.

A Call to Action

Addressing the media, Mr. Akwa Obodai, Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Ghanaian National Alliance and Osagyefo Youth Movement, emphasized the urgent need for Ghanaians to consider independent candidates in the next elections. He stressed that unity among independents is crucial to combat the self-serving interests of traditional political parties and elect leaders who prioritize Ghana’s development.

Ghana’s Pressing Challenges

Mr. Obodai highlighted the numerous challenges plaguing Ghana, including:

  1. Failing Educational System: Inadequate infrastructure, outdated curricula, and insufficient resources.
  2. Ailing Healthcare: Inefficient systems, lack of equipment, and shortage of medical professionals.
  3. National Debt Crisis: Unsustainable borrowing, crippling interest rates, and economic instability.
  4. Rampant Political Corruption: Embezzlement, nepotism, and abuse of power.
  5. Infrastructural Decay: Poor roads, inadequate housing, and insufficient public amenities.
  6. Environmental Degradation: Deforestation, pollution, and climate change.
  7. Drug and Substance Abuse: Rising addiction rates, particularly among youth.
  8. Gender Imbalance: Inequality in education, employment, and representation.
  9. Religious Conflicts: Growing tensions and divisions along religious lines.
  10. Climate Change: Vulnerability to extreme weather events, droughts, and floods.
