The Hearts Kotoko Democracy Cup game is one of the most tensionless games I have handled – Ref Juliet Appiah
Referee Juliet Appiah has revealed that the Democracy Cup game she officiated between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko is one the most tensionless games she has officiated in her career as referee.
Speaking on Kessben TV, Juliet Appiah divulged that some officials of the losing side Accra Hearts of Oak after the game even called her to commend her for handling the game so well.
After hindsight, Juliet reckons she still got most of her decisions right in the game which resulted in 2-1 victory for Asante Kotoko.
“From the penalty I awarded to Kotoko and the Hearts of Oak’s equalizer, they were all spot-on decisions.
There was no pressure on me or any tension in the game, I can say it’s one of the most tensionless games I have handled. I handled it very well regardless of it being an evening fixture and all that.
I have handled games with much tension, especially these division one games but with this one there was no tension at all” She said.
