The pay I received in Benin is times 3 the pay I was taking in Ghana, I will advise anyone to leave the Ghana League if the opportunity comes – Benjamin Tweneboah Neymar

Former Elimina Sharks and Aduana Stars player Benjamin Tweneboa Neymar has advised players playing in the Ghana premier league to leave and ply their trade abroad if the opportunity arises.

According to the winger, the salaries of Ghana Premier League players are very meager which makes it practically difficult for footballers to live a meaningful life after playing in the Ghana league to retirement.

The winger divulged that the salary he signed for in neighboring country Benin where he played was times three of that which he was taking while playing in the Ghana Premier League.

“I will advise anyone to leave and play outside Ghana if the opportunity arises. You will be playing in the Ghana league, and your family knows that you are working but when you are asked for money you can’t give it because you have nothing. You will be playing/working and will be owing.

Just here in Benin, I took three times what I was taking as my salary in Ghana. Life after Football is not easy so you have to be very careful about that” He said on Kessben TV.
