“Supporters of Kennedy Agyapong demand compensation from Bawumia’s wife’s family as condition for voting for NPP”
The die hard supporters of Hon Kennedy Agyapong have dared not to support the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party with their votes in the upcoming December general election.
According to the supporters, though Hon Kennedy Agyapong has called for united front for the party victory in December election, their ‘vote are not transferable’ to support any candidate.
They indicated that their unflinching support for the outspoken member cannot be shared to any other persons because he is the right and the competent candidate to manage the country.
Addressing a newsmen in press conference in Kumasi, Patron of Die Hard supporters of Kennedy Agyapong Nana Opoku Agyeman stated that the group is not disturb to see Hon Kennedy Agyapong campaigning for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia in his recent tours.
Nana Opoku Agyeman noted that, the decision of Hon Kennedy Agyapong to engage in active campaigns for the party and Dr Bawumia after the primaries is his personal involvement but not in the interest of the group.
However, the Patron Nana Opoku Agyeman said, the group can only rescind it decision to rally behind the elephant party if Mr George Oti Bonsu whose 10 buildings were demolished by second lady’s brother is compensated.
The group believed that the demolishing of Mr George Oti Bonsu building by Dr Bawumia’s brother in law is politically motivated due to the man love and support for Kennedy Agyapong hence, the Samira family should not only render apology but also compensate their fellow before they will vote for the NPP in the upcoming election.
The group expressed worry about the unfortunate incident despite the financial contribution Mr George Oti Bonsu gives to the rank and file to the party.
