The ‘King’ is here: Otumfuo arrives in Accra for Ga State visit (Video)

On his historic visit to the Ga State, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has arrived in Accra, the nation’s capital.

On Sunday, June 9, 2024, Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, is scheduled to host the first-ever durbar in honor of the Asantehene, with the goal of strengthening the ties between the Ga and Asante.

In a video posted by Opemsuo Radio, the Asantehene was seen arriving in Accra on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

The Otumfuo convoy was seen in the video being led by a police land vehicle and three police motorcycles.

The police car carrying the Otumfuo was one of at least ten land cruisers that pursued the police cars.

The Ga Mantse will hold a cultural celebration on Sunday in the forecourt of the Ga Mantse palace in Kaneshie, Accra, as part of the Asantehene’s visit.

The goal of the visit is to rekindle the long-standing friendship between the Asante and Ga communities and comes after the Ga Mantse participated in Otumfuo’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
