“Zoomlion Takes Action on World Environment Day with Tree Planting and Clean-Up Exercise

In celebration of World Environment Day, Zoomlion Ghana Ltd, a leading waste management company in Africa, took bold action to promote environmental sustainability. The company organized a tree planting exercise at Tetteh Quashie Roundabout in Accra, followed by a comprehensive clean-up exercise in surrounding areas, including Accra Mall, Spintex, and Villagio Residency.

Managing Director, Mrs. Gloria Opoku-Anti, emphasized the significance of this year’s theme, “Land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience,” and urged citizens to take responsibility for environmental protection. She stressed that individual actions can collectively make a significant impact in maintaining a healthy environment.

Mrs. Opoku-Anti also called for the enforcement of environmental laws and regulations to deter harmful practices. She highlighted the importance of tree planting in improving carbon credits, crucial in the fight against climate change.
