Dabo Soccer Academy Qualifies to Division 2: “Our aim is not for premiership but develop Ghanaian talents” – Club President, Dabo
Ashanti regional-based football team, Dabo Football Academy has qualified from the Division 3 League to the Division 2 League in Ghana.
The Bankroller of the Club, Yaw Dabo speaking in an interview on Kessben FM’s Midfield Action Sports reiterated despite their strides, the team’s vision is not to progress further to the premier league football in Ghana.
He stressed that his team is more focused on developing Ghanaian football talents.
The movie actor after forming the Dabo Football Academy years ago has singlehandedly financed the football Academy through the support of a few friends.
Afriyie Barnieh and some other household names in Ghana Football have emerged from Yaw Dabo’s soccer academy.
After qualifying for the Division 2 league, the president of the club, Yaw Dabo announced that his team will be running a justify for players which is set to start on 8th May 2024 at Wenchi and subsequently to Konongo and Tachiman to hunt for talents to develop.
