#SuperClash: Kotoko will beat Hearts 5 or 6 nill to break the 4 nill record soon – Daniel Bomfah, Ex Kotoko Striker
Ex-Asante Kotoko player, Daniel Bomfa is confident Kumasi Asante Kotoko will soon break the 4-0 defeat record Accra Hearts of Oak has over Kotoko as the highest margin scoreline between the two clubs.
Hearts of Oak defeated Kumasi Asante Kotoko 4-0 24 years ago on March 15 2000 with their 64-battalion squad led by Osei Kuffour, Ishmael Addo and Charles Taylor.
The ex-prolific striker speaking on Kessben TV’s Extra Time Sports ahead of the Super Clash on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports stadium stressed that his ex-side could use that game to equal and even better the record of the 4-0 scoreline on Sunday.
Bomfah noted that during his days at Kotoko between the mid-2000s, Kotoko nearly equalled the record but his side were profligate, squandering most of the chances that came their way finishing the game 3-1 in favour of Kotoko.
As both clubs prepare to face off in matchday 31 of the 2023-24 Ghana premier league, Bomfah is optimistic Kotoko will thrive over Hearts and said it could just be the day Kotoko will beat Hearts to break the 4-0 record.
“We can beat them 4, 5, or 6. We’ve had so many opportunities to break that record but during those games, we’ve squandered a whole lot of chances. But we are going to break that record soon. It is not going to be 4 nill, we are going to beat them 5 or 6” He said.
