Fans blast Victor Boniface for dating white girlfriend over Nigerian girls
Victor Boniface is receiving backlash from some Nigerians after the Bayer Leverkusen forward showed off his girlfriend during the club’s Bundesliga title celebrations.
The 23-year-old forward had shared a heartwarming moment with his Norwegian partner, Rikke Hermine, who was present on the pitch to celebrate Leverkusen’s first-ever Bundesliga title.

According to Pulse Sports NG, Hermine has been seen in the stadium multiple times during the course of the season, supporting the Super Eagles star as Bayer Leverkusen cruised to an unbeaten Bundesliga campaign.
Boniface would end up repaying her support by sharing the league title celebrations with her, posing for photos with the Bundesliga title and medal to cap a successful season for the pair.

Boniface’s post, however, received backlash from some Nigerians who voiced their disappointment with the forward dating a foreigner rather than having a Nigerian girlfriend.
Fans criticize Boniface for white girlfriend
Some fans expressed their displeasure at Boniface for dating a white girl as they claimed the Bayer Leverkusen forward has abandoned his fellow Nigerians in favour of a foreigner.
“They always avoid Naija girls” @Popey tweeted.
Another fan questioned why Nigerian footballers keep abandoning their Nigerian female counterparts.
“Dem just the leave naija girls for who na?” @Gabzy also tweeted.
It’s not all doom for Boniface as he received some support from another fan who claimed his environment must have played a role in his decision.
