I sold my family Plasma TV to Start my company – CEO of Qwick Credit Richard Nii-Armah Quaye

In an interview, CEO of Bills, formerly known as Qwick Credit, Richard Nii-Armah Quaye explained how and why he founded his company.

He claims that even though he returned from the UK with nothing, everyone in Korle Gorno, his hometown, imagined he was wealthy.

They began to inundate him with their demands, assuming he possessed the financial means to fulfill them.

He was constantly receiving requests for small-scale loans from people, but he was out of money to grant them.

Richard Nii Armah came up with the idea that a small loan company may operate in Accra at that point.

He said that in order to start his business Quickloan, which has subsequently changed its name to Bills, he had to sell family assets including the fridge, plasma TV, and other home appliances because he had come back from the UK penniless.
