Kumasi: $300m Prempeh 1 International Airport commissioned (Video)
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, and President Akufo-Addo have officially opened the Prempeh International Airport.
In order to accommodate the growing demand for international air travel, the new airport will facilitate air travel from the country’s middle and northern belt regions.
An estimated 800,000 travellers are anticipated to use the $300 million airport each year in Kumasi.
