Ejisu By-Election: Voter turnout very low

Voting is currently underway in the Ejisu Constituency to elect a new member of Parliament following the demise of the former MP, John Kumah in March 2024.

Voting started around 7 am at 204 polling centres in the Ejisu constituency where a by-election is being held to choose a new Member of Parliament (MP).

Despite the fact that six candidates are running, Kwabena Boateng of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, a former NPP MP running as an independent, are the two front-runners.

Esther Osei (CPP), Beatrice Boakye (LPG), Gabriel Agyemang Joseph (Independent) and Attakorah Joseph (Independent) are the other contestants.

A report filed on Kessben FM’s Breaking News by Kessben FM’s Reporters from the grounds indicates voter turnout is very low.
