PNP A New Political Party From PNC Formed
A new party by name People’s National Party has broken away from the existing People’s National Convention to contest the upcoming general elections in December 2024.
Briefing the Press, the interim General Secretary of the New Party, Suleiman Zakaria assigned unsatisfactory Court ruling that they are not happy with.
According a statement he read on behalf of the break away group, the court did not pay attention to the issues they raised in their defence but rather tilted toward the spurious and hollow allegations of the contending parties of David Apasera and Dani Baah who apparently are not seeking the interest of the party but their own parochial interest.
Mr Zakaria intimated that the contending parties have not been honest, transparent, sincere, and had refused to adhere to the parties’ rules and regulations but settled their scores in the courtroom instead of using party structures.
According to him, this step has been taken to save the party from further sinking and destruction.
To this end ,9 out of the 16 regional executives with the support of the Council of Elders have decided to secede to for a true Nkrumaist and Limannist party that is ready to rescue and serve Ghanaians but not to amass wealth and personal interests .
According to the IGS , all the processes to set the party in motion have been duly followed, and very soon, the party will launch their campaign to contest the elections.
He said the party Council of Eldersare is in support of the New Party because David Apasera is destroying the PNC party for his selfish motive.
Against this backdrop, all the PNC offices are going to be repainted with the new party colours throughout the country.
A date will be announced soon for Congress to give details of the election of Parliamentary Candidates to contest the December elections.
Meanwhile, interim executives led by Madam Janet Anabla and others have been mandated to run the affairs of the party until further notice.
