“Kurt told me he wants Otto Addo because he’s disciplinarian” GFA appoints new Black Coach on Friday

Veteran Sports broadcaster, Ohene Kwame Nyame widely known as Kwame Mekke has divulged that the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku prioritise the former Black Stars coach, Otto Addo as the best candidate for the vacant Blac Stars job.

According to the sports journalist, the Dortmund Trainer/Scout is in pole position to land the Black Stars coaching job following a headhunt by the committee set up by the Ghana Football Association.

Speaking on the Midfield Action sports show with Sir Joe Laka, Kwame Mekke noted the search committee has submitted their report to EXCO of the Ghana Football Association and thus currently discussing the remuneration of the next Black Stars coach who is set to be officially appointed on Friday 15th March 2024.

Following the sacking of Coach Chris Hughton after Ghana’s shambolic performance at the Ivory Coast AFCON 2023, the GFA opened an application for the job but none of the hundreds who applied for the Job was considered as the GFA had to headhunt.
