Caf Confederations Cup quarter-finals games revealed, Dreams FC face Stade Malien

The draw for the quarter finals of the Caf Confederations Cup have been conducted in Cairo, Egypt as various teams have seen their opponents.

Defending champions USM Algers(Algeria), makes a date with last season’s quarter finalists Rivers United(Nigeria) that made the cut after coming second in Group C.

Debutants, Dreams FC(Ghana) have been paired with Malian side Stade Malien as they square it off in the last eight after topping a group that included Club Africain, Rivers United and Academica.

Meanwhile 2021 Champions RS Berkane(Morocco) have been paired with Libyan side Abu Salim FC. The Oranges disappointed last season as they couldn’t make it into the group stages. But this time they are back in contention for the title.

In the other fixture, 2019 champions Zamalek(Egypt), will make a date with fellow Egyptian side Modern Future FC to determine which team makes it into the final four.

The unseeded teams namely Modern Future, Stade Malien, Abu Salim and Rivers United will play home first on the weekend of 31st March, 2024. The seeded sides, Zamalek, Dreams FC, RS Berkane and USM Algers will also host the second leg on 7th April, 2024.

With the quarter finals set, semi-final pathways have also been revealed. Potentially the winner Dreams FC-Stade Malien encounter will meet Zamalek-Modern Future winner. Meanwhile the RS Berkane-Abu Salim encounter will provide a winner that will face either USM Algers or Rivers United in the semi final of the Caf Confederations Cup.
