“He was being transported to 37 but his condition became critical so the ambulance diverted to Suhum Hospital where he was confirmed dead”
Following a brief illness, John Kumah, 45, the Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, passed away. He died on Thursday.
He was supposed to participate in the Thursday and Friday SONA discussion in addition to his earlier appearance on the House floor this week.
Nevertheless, he became sicker when he traveled to his Ashanti Region constituency for the anniversary of independence.
They called for an ambulance to come get him to Accra.
His condition worsened as the ambulance was traveling to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra was rerouted to the Suhum Government Hospital, where he was declared dead.
Since then, his remains have been placed at Accra’s 37 Military Hospital.
He left behind six children and his wife, Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah.
