Please we are sorry, It’s not Dumsor, We are having some small technical issues – Managing Director of ECG, Samuel Dubik Mahama
The managing director of the Electricity Company of Ghana, Samuel Dubik Mahama has apologized and reiterated that Dumsor is not back.
In the last few weeks there have been consistent power outages in Ghana and the ECG managing director attributes it to some small technical challenges.
Mr Samuel Dubik speaking on Kessben FM’s Maakye with Akuoko Kwarteng stressed that the situation of the power outages in the last few weeks is not a result of load shedding (Dumsor) but a technical issue they are currently working on.
He noted that just after solving a high-voltage underground fault another challenge emerged which had been the cause of the recent power outages, especially in Kumasi.
The managing director apologized to Ghanaians over the situation and assured that the issue would soon be resolved once and for all. He urged Ghanaians not to politicize the issue of electricity as it is mainly technical.
