I will reduce the cost of internet data for Ghanaians if elected as President – Bawumia
As part of his digitization campaign, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has pledged to lower internet data costs for Ghanaians in the event that he is chosen to lead the nation in the 2019 elections.
On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) unveiled his visions to the populace, announcing that his administration would prioritize infrastructure, employment, education, and digitalization.
He declared that he is dedicated to collaborating with industry participants to establish precise policy rules, guaranteeing effective spectrum distribution, and emphasizing the improvement of digital inclusiveness.
His goal is to lower the price of data so that the average Ghanaian can afford it.
Bawumia intends to shift the focus of the educational system toward STEM, robotics, artificial intelligence, and practical skills in order to meet the demands of the fourth industrial revolution.
This entails giving pupils laptops and introducing robotics and coding to senior high schools.
In order to give university students the tools they need for the labor market of the future, Bawumia has suggested a policy of one student, one laptop.
